Tornado Relief Information

The tornadoes on October 20th devastated homes, businesses, and schools across our city. Many of you have inquired about how we can lend support to the schools that were destroyed by the storm. Below are details for how to contribute to DISD and the affected schools in our area.

DISD Ways to Help

Monetary donations are being accepted by the Dallas Education Foundation via the Dallas Foundation, our fiscal agent, at DallasISDTornadoReliefFund. For questions about monetary donations please call (972) 925-3053.

Gift cards: Dallas ISD is currently accepting gift cards, preferably in $25–$30 increments. Mail the gift card to 9400 N. Central Expressway, Box 21. For questions about gift card donations, please call (972) 925-5440.

School supplies: DISD is currently identifying families most in need of donations.
The district is also accepting small boxes of new school supplies, which can be dropped off at the three following locations Monday–Friday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m:

  • Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy, 1700 E. Camp Wisdom Road
  • Turney W. Leonard Training Center, 5151 Samuel Blvd
  • One Center at Linus Wright Administration Buildings, 9400 Central Expressway, 1st floor

Walnut Hill Elementary School Go Fund Me

The Walnut Hill Elementary School PTA has created a Go Fund Me account through which they are accepting donations that will be used to help support the school as they continue classes at the Thomas W. Field Elementary building.
